F-16 Fighting Falcon: jet profile for Sky Lords 3D
The F-16 is the jet you start with, and it is a better teacher than its price suggests. It costs nothing, forgives mistakes and gives you time to learn what the game wants from you.
Stats in the game
| Price | Speed | Agility | Firepower | Shot delay |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 8 / 10 | 9 / 10 | 7 / 10 | 300 ms (3.3 shots per second) |
How it flies
It is the slowest of the six jets, but its agility is high, so it turns quickly out of the way of enemy fire. With about 3.3 shots per second it is also the slowest to fire, so you have to aim instead of spraying bullets. In the game the F-16 wears a black paint scheme with red and white roundels, and its blue engine flame is easy to follow on screen.
The real aircraft
The real F-16 Fighting Falcon is a single-engine multirole fighter that first flew in 1974. More than 4,500 have been built, and air forces on every continent still fly it, which makes it one of the most common fighter jets in history.
Who should choose it
Keep it for missions 1 and 2, where speed matters little. Start saving as soon as you can: the Su-57 at 3,500 credits is the cheapest upgrade, and the Rafale at 4,000 is the best for dodging.
Compare with: Su-57 Felon Rafale. See all six side by side in the jet comparison, or read the campaign guide to pick the right jet for each mission.
