Playing on mobile: controls and tips

Sky Lords 3D plays well on a phone with no installation. Here is how to get the most from the touch controls.

Touch controls

For comfortable play

Turn your phone to landscape for more room and put the browser in full screen. Turn the sound on with the button at the bottom right of the game screen: audio cues help you spot danger.

Sharpening your touch reflexes

Keep your left thumb moving on the joystick without lifting it, and reserve your right thumb for firing. Avoid resting your thumbs too close to the screen edge, where controls respond less well.

If the game won't start, reload the page or use an up-to-date browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari).

Tips for playing on a phone

Turn the phone sideways: the wide view gives you more room to see enemies and to place your thumbs. Close other tabs and apps before you start, since a 3D game needs memory. The game measures its own speed while you play and lowers the picture quality on a slow phone, so a short drop in sharpness is normal and not a bug. Keep your thumbs away from the very edge of the screen, where the system gestures of your phone can interrupt a game.

Phone or keyboard?

Touch controls work for the whole campaign, but precise dodging is easier with a keyboard, especially for the heavy flak in missions 11 and 12. If you have a laptop, try both and keep the one that gives you your best score. Your best score and credits are saved in the browser of each device, so they are not shared between your phone and your computer. If a button seems stuck or the page scrolls while you play, reload it and tell us on the contact page.
